With regard to the March proficiency testing round that shipped on March 16, PTC is cognizant of the pressures facing laboratories during this COVID-19 pandemic. As such we realize that meeting the reporting deadline may be difficult for some PTC customers. For this reason, we have extended the reporting deadline for an additional two weeks (May 1). This being said, please note that some of the PT test groups will not be stable for this extended period of time. Please look at the individual instruction sheets when prioritizing your analyses. If the instructions do not state that the samples are stable for the duration of the study, please be sure to analyze the samples within the hold time indicated.
In response to government directions, and in concern for our employees, PTC staff will only be in the office for short periods of time over the next two weeks. Though not in the office, they will be working from home and responding to emails and following up with any shipping problems for the March PT round.
We will be continually monitoring the situation and will act accordingly should this be necessary.
